For those worried because I'm in Texas (I just got two calls tonight), Dallas is five hours (without any traffic slowdowns) from Galveston (we used to go every year for the 4th of July) and four hours from the North edge of Houston. Usually we don't even see rain from this sort of weather, though we are hoping.
And, the local wards are all making lists of places available for refugees to sleep and spend a night or two before they go back home.
I may not be ok, but if not, it has nothing to do with the weather and everything to do with spending too long looking out a window at Jessica's favorite place to go in Fort Worth. That was a long day yesterday.

I hope you'll be okay, and fare the hurricane well. You seem like such a kind person from what I've read at CintheCity.
I have family in College Station. It sounds like it's getting crazy down there. Good luck, and there will be some prayers for Texas tonight.
Our prayers go out to Texas, too. I am a native Texan, and even when I'm not there, it's still Home. Most people like to see the Stockyards in Fort Worth; like an amusement park, really, but I prefer the Arboretum, it is my favorite place. I also like the Kimball Art Museum, but that may be in Dallas. Eat some Texas Barbecue for me, eh?
Some wake-up call the Lord is issuing these days; reminds me of my alarm clock, it beeps gently at first, but becomes louder and more insistent if I ignore it. God Bless us all, and especially you, Stephen.
Texas is in our prayers. This is being quite a year. It is causing me to do a lot of pondering these days. I have a lot to do before I feel "prepared". Hopefully your area will be just fine.
Somedays I long to be so busy..so I don't have time for those ponderings and the "long days" Somdays the world zooms by me and I am almost in a trance and can't do anything beyond staring...
My heart echos the agony, and I am so sorry for your experience with it.
May comfort find you...tonight.
And may you...be safe from the "storm"
Glad you're safe!
Hey Steve, I seem to recall you submitting a guest post to M* a little while ago, but I can't find it anywhere. Could you email me at clark@lextek.com if you did? (I may be mis-recalling things)
