Obviously, I remarked, she wasn't corrupted by going to dance festival ...
Though if they only knew, I got more than lucky. My wife is better than I knew could be possible. I remain grateful for the path that led me to her and for her marrying me.
Also ran across a blog post I really liked:
Simon Peter said unto him, Lord, whither goest thou? Jesus answered him, Whither I go, thou canst not follow me now; but thou shalt follow me afterwards.Absolute silence for a moment, then I asked, “Does that change your understanding
Peter said unto him, Lord, why cannot I follow thee now? I will lay down my life for thy sake.
Jesus answered him, Wilt thou lay down thy life for my sake? Verily, verily, I say unto thee, The cock shall not crow, till thou hast denied me thrice.
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
I'm grateful to God for many things. It is good to remember them.

Thanks for verbalizing (ok, writing!) much of what I observed of Jubilee...Jake was a participant, and from the production side, I felt much like you...not cohesive, and it was not clear to me what the purpose/message was supposed to be...however I will say that from the participants side...it was an amazing experience...I had the privilege of spending the time in the tunnels with the youth and found that for them the experience was very different than when I watched the 10 am production...I found myself reflecting a bit on perspective...
I thought it was great, all in all, I have to say. Rachel and her non-member friend had the time of their lives watching it.
Though I really enjoyed dance festival and road shows as a kid too.
