"You get carried away."

I did not get that poem.

Was she thinking of Darfur, and saying God,or Jesus, got carried away, relating it to her harvest of small creatures to feed herself?

She's talking about how she kills millions ever time she brushes her teeth, but, even so, thinks the Holy One has gotten carried away.
