Heather had a close encounter with an SUV on her bicycle. She will spend the night in the hospital and when the swelling goes down they will operate on her in the morning.

My wife always accuses me of being too positive, but I expect Heather to recover just fine. Still, this reminded me that she is always my baby girl.

I try to post about once a week. This will have to do it for this week, I just don't have more in me.

I'll be praying for Heather- and you too. I hope things go well with the operation.

Sorry to hear about this. I hope everything goes well for Heather and that she recovers quickly after the surgery you talked about.

Well, she and her mom are both chipper this morning. Turns out it is just a matter of making sure a finger is set right, everything else is ok.

Win was working last night and just wanted Heather with her, so spending the night in a major trauma hospital didn't have the same meaning as it could have, just being careful.

Still, I would have been happier taking her home for the night, but I understand the concern.

Anyone who expected to see us in Galveston this year (we usually go down for the 4th) is going to miss out. Could have been a lot worse.

And thank you very much for the good wishes.

Stephen,
I'm so glad to hear things look good. I held my breath when I read the first paragraph. I hope everything keeps improving.

God bless, Stephen, even though my daughter has been driving me crazy with their wedding plans, I worry constantly that something will happen to her.

Wow Steve....I hope Heather is well. I hope all is well with your whole family. Thought of you...got your message last month....Jeff has been traveling for most of the last year, but is now back in Texas. He is in California this week on a business matter....I am sure if things go well, he will be talking to you about the big project. I was out searching for your website as we had a tragic death of a child in Little Elm. I had my friend read some of your writing as she is the primary president for the ward this little on lives in. I thought of you guys as I drove from Children's Dallas. And wanted you to know how much we think of your family. - Alisa Green
